You would pull in the gas class. It all depends what you weigh total. You weight in before the starts to determine if you need more or less weight. Then that puts you in classes. Do you have reciever in the front to add weight to a weight bar. Your weight will need to be in the front.
By the way sorry....the hitch is fine and your weight doesn't have to be in front it would just help. You can add anywhere. I know guys who will take out tool boxes or seats. Anything to take off weight. Then I know guys who will add anything to take on weight. Such as took boxes, chains, or weights in the bed. Sometimes all you need it 50 or so pounds to put you in a certain class.

hey, if you look at the pics of the last pull the first pic on the top left of the page there sits my old 1st gen. the red 90' flatbed w/sidepipes used to belong to me, when I owned it, it had steel wheels/simulators & 3" exhaust behind the wheel,& a front end replacement, that was a really nice truck has an NV4500 conversion in it, man can't believe that it's on here!! anyway I'll shut up now LOL Dusty
Hey...glad to hear your coming. We need all the support we can get. You will probably pull in the 8000 and 8000 open class with you being a dulley due to your weight. The pictures from the first pull the single cab long bed dodge 12 valve one first place in both classes with me on his tale in my blue dodge only lacking about 8 feet each time and I would have placed first. But it was fun. It was my first pull so it was a test and tune.
