Considering their battery of tests, I'm pretty confident that only later trucks with electronically controlled fuel injection and automatic transmissions will be able to compete.

There's no way a purpose-built 12 valve sled puller is going to be streetable enough to tow something for 100 miles w/o turning the trailer and chase vehicle black. Not unless they allow some tweaking between tests.

Plus, shifting a manual in the quarter mile sucks. I don't like racing w/ my NV5600 at all.

Yeah, BBD wouldn't do very good in that test 8,000lbs and shifting a triple disc clutch in the quarter I bet would be a PITA

BBD

Joeservo, I think Tomac got confused in that competition you have to tow something 100 miles not anther truck tow yours 100 miles.

My truck won't have a problem towing a heavy trailer for 100 or 100000 miles. Do I have to put the green truck in the trailer and tow it around to all the pulls this season like I did in 04 just to prove you guys wrong? I'll do it if Servo and Silver03 will help throw weights and switch the truck from towing mode to pulling mode and switch it back at every event
