DHRA work stock rules

Since the Dmaxes have started pulling, a lot of the local pulls around have changed the rules of the "stock turbo" class to a "2.4 inducer class". This allows the cummins to be on a more level playing field with the Dmax since the stock turbos on the Dmaxes can flow much more air than the HX35s can. The DHRA work stock class is still limited to a stock turbo. How likely is it that the DHRA will change the rules of the workstock class?

i doubt they will change it i've been crying about this since the beginning of this year. they are worried about someone dropping money into a 12v and winning the class and they want to make it a class that anyone can run without sinking lots of money into their trucks. so just get rid of that 12v and go buy a new $50,000 truck if you want to compete in work stock

btw the rules allow a 2.5inducer turbo here in ohio and it keeps the class pretty close.

they still allow the dmaxes to pull even though they are a little bigger. a sps62 will put you right there with them

Thats what ive got. Im not planning on pulling everywhere with the DHRA, probably only 3 hooks with them at the most per year. But if i wanted to hook with DHRA, that puts me in a class where im waaaay outta my league Dmaxes are plenty capable of making 500HP on a stock turbo. Not because its just that much better of a motor, but because they simply have enough air to do so. It only makes sense to me to let others run a turbo thats around the same size as the Dmaxes.

It doesn't hurt that they have 2 heads the EACH flow better than ours either

Thanks man. I'll send them an email sometime soon. Im definitely not the only one around here that wishes they would switch to the 2.4 rule.

No make it a 2.5 so the SPS66 boys can run in it.

Yeah i was thinkin that the 66 chargers were pretty big, bigger than the dmax chargers any way. I actually had Shane at Industrial Injection customize the housing on mine so the inducer size would be exactly 2.4

I think they are scared, because the good running CR trucks with only a hx35 can pull with em already. Give em a little air to breathe and the d-max's are done for. Of course an old 12v with a little air aint to shabby either
