Daily use traction bars
I've been looking around myself and can't seem to find any. Skyjacker and Procomp suspensions show them on their demo vehicles, but they are yet to be available to the public. Skyjacker says theirs will be available soon...

we all know u got more than that, i dont think the dyno was calibrated right for your run.. My belief is you are at the worst at my power level with the banks plate...
Would those traction bars better aid for towing or improve the ride? I go off road a bit and dont want them to get hung up in the deer lease I do have to cross some ditches occasionally... whats your experience off the beaten path with them? and what other benefits do they offer?

The benfit is you get full torque to the wheels during acceleration. You don't lose torque to spring wrap, which is made worse by 4" blocks
. You'll definately feel a difference off the line.
I don't like the idea of a traction bar being u-bolted to the axle. I've seen welded mounts rip off, how are 2 u-bolts going to hold 600+ torque? I could see the axle tube just spinning.
I'm going to build my own. I've built a few for crawlers. 1.5" schedule 40 pipe with /\/\/\/\ in between. It will be as long as possible with about 8' seperation on the axle side to a shackle on the other end. Use poly bushing on the axle side.
They're really pretty easy to build if you've got a welder and grinder. I bet a good 4x4 fab shop could build you something nice too.
I get nasty hop from those stupid blocks, I can't beleive Dodge put blocks on from the factory

I would mention what I run but I dont know if the guy that made them will make anymore.
So its a moot point. So far mine have served me well and earned me 4 sled pull victories this year.
How many pulls have you won again, Smoke?

Just give Steve a call he will make more. Even though he owns a dmax now. If he doesn't want to make any let me know. I can get some for you from Darryl Poole. Darryls bars seem to be a bit better than qwikspools (Steve).

I would pull more if I could make it to the dang things, but the stupid *** MTPA screwed us on rules this year by saying we had to have kill switches, harmonic balancer shields, drive shaft loops, and a bunch of other BS just to pull in a street class!

The only 3 pulls that have been within a reasonable distance for me to pull at this year I have went to. I didn't win but I placed in the top 5 at two of them, the third was a MTPA pull and they wouldn't let ANY of us pull!

There is also a pull within about 1.5-2hrs from my house in KY that's a VERY nice place to pull. However you have to have driveshaft loops to pull, and that's not something I can get fabbed up just lickety split. I will have them for next year though.
Pourin Diesel and Digger, Can you put me in touch with Daryl Poole or Steve "quikspool". What's the cost on a good set of bars? If Steve isn't making them anymore can you pm me some pix so my fab guy might make me a pair. ks
I Have Steve's on my truck and they are fabulous. Big, heavy, and bullet proof; street or competition quality.
Search TDR for Steve St. (Largent)?? Hate to butcher his name, but a nicer guy doesn't exist. Brought my bars to me in SC on his way to FL.
