Buck Motorsports Park

I dont know if any of you pull at the Buck in Pennsylvania. But I seen they posted their 2008 rules and they still dont allow Dual Cp3s in the Modified Street class comparable to the DHRA Super Street class where they allow dual cp3s, what gives? I dont understand the great fear in allowing dual cp3 trucks pull. They arent dangerous because they have 2 pumps just is able to keep more volume, same rail pressure as stock. I wish there could be a general rulebook that covered everything and kept everything safe so you could go anywhere and not be turned down because of different rules at every place you go. My thought is these places should just follow the DHRA rulebook or a big association like it to keep things simple for the competitors who bring in their crowds so they can profit.

This is what they say:
Injection pump and entire fuel system must be O.E.M. factory installed system for the engine/truck being used.

Who in the world is running stock lift pump, injectors, and injection pump in a Modified Street class?
Any thoughts, comments, whatever appreciated especially for anyone with this same problem and want to pull in their closest place to pull. Sorry If I sound like I am whining, I JUST WOULD LIKE TO PULL A TIME OR TWO A YEAR at the place closest to home.

They would definetly flag the dual CP3's but they let FASS, Walbro pumps go, they realize they about need them stock. They hate intake horns (Banks etc) and will make you run mod class. Dont try to get into a fight with the tech guy and you will be ok. They are really more interested in added weights and concrete filled bumpers than anything else. I hung out at the scale for about 1 hr. to see what they flagged.

The people who run that place have no clue. They can not be reasoned with, and they refuse to look at outside sanctioning body's rules to see how incompatible they are with everyone else. That and they are famous for ignoring their own rule book if it favors someone they like. You can witness an obvious violation, take their rule book to an official, point out the rule and the violation and they act like they don't see it or the rule doesn't apply. I will not pull there, and if it wasn't the only game in town I wouldn't go to watch.

Looks like I am not the only one that has a problem with The Buck Motorsports! They really don't have a clue and probably never will. Could you imagine how many pullers they would have at an event if they did straighten out their rulls!
It is very frustraiting when you try and prepare for an event to be "legal". and you get there and all the rulls are thrown out the window. Because they are going by their own "modified" rull book that is different from their web site rulls!

If only the insurance wasn't so exspensive for an event...We could try and hold some.

they get 50+ trucks in the street class, and 12+ in the modified class...seems like a good turnout to me.

if you wanna run dual cp3's or twins, or hang weights show up on the ECS nights and pull pro-street. oh wait, then you will cry because all the 12v trucks with big singles and water injection are too big to compete with.

modified is gonna get a shake up this year anyway...a 12v out of Pa is coming down with a built motor and 2.8 turbo that will meet every single rule the buck has, then watch all the crying start.

rollincoal02, I am not worried about winning. Dont count your apples til they are ready to pick. But good luck to the always strong 12Vs. LOL

I would enjoy the experience and looks like a lot of fun (sledpulling). I guess I just go some where else to pull if they dont allow me to run competitively or exhibition. I know competition gets to everyone and I am competitive. I know it can be hard for places to keep things fair, the Buck does seem odd compared to some other places.

Has the guy that runs the place call any of you about changes? At the last driver meeting he said they were going to contact everyone about ways to improve or dislikes in the current process. I for one was not contacted and I think they really dont care. They are the only thing around for now, like it or not. I am going this year, but as a spectator.

50 trucks in the street class and 12 in the modifies class is not a good show to most people. That is about half of what a good show should be. If they would get their act together they would have shows like that...

Why do they feel they need to have their "own set of rulls"??? K,I,S,S! Just go with the standard for the sport!

I guess you are about the 1% of pullers that agree with the way the Buck runs things! Last year at one of the events they asked for suggestions on how to "change" some rulls....Well, every suggestion they got, they fired back a rebutle as to why not!!

I may B*tch alot about it but unfortunately it is the only game in town and I have to deal with it.

60 some trucks is not a good turnout? plus the guys who do the drag racing. the show already runs til midnight, sorry but I dont want to be sitting around til 3 a.m. to hook after 150 stock trucks pull. And I hate when there are 15 trucks with a tuner that think they can hang in the modified class so they step up to run the big class and pull half of what the winner pulls. it wouldn't be so bad if the prize money went up if there were more trucks, but it stays the same and just adds to the time you have to sit around and wait. I've been to shows where the modified trucks pull last and its near closing time for the bars. there is only a handful of people left in the stands to see it.

and no, I don't agree with the rules up there, i hate some of the stupid rules, but I make my truck fit the rules because usually I walk away some money in my pocket since they pay out 5 places.
