Thanks Bryan,
that was 1200#s of cranks in the back of my truck I weighed 7050 on fri night but weighed 8275#s last night....I had NO traction fri. night but i finally got some last night....THAT SLED WAS HEEEEAAVVVVYY off the line ,

OH and TP19 weighed 9500#'s

THEY NEED WEIGHT CLASSES!!!!!!

Oh and Ive got about another 200 cranks at the house all good regrinds... most of those were inline eight buick cranks.

Yes.. those sleds can be heavy off the line.. I guess they pulled the Ironman sled on Friday night.. the drop pan makes for a different hook... That heavy sled.. the weight box doesn't go far enough past the back wheels to make the pan light when starting out...

It sure looked unorganized.. we couldn't tell anything from the other side of the fence..

Any rules would be a start.. The guys that pull the V8 antiques made their first showing this year... Basically need to do the same.. set some rules through out the year.. and run them including events like this.. And have a class.. if there are those that want to fit the rules they can run with in the class.. if not.. they can run in the Open run-what-a-brung class...

Jake, you going to make it to Houston for the DHRA nationals???
Did you get to see the 2nd truck run on Saturday night... gray truck from Zak Hamilton's shop??? Not sure if it was a P-pump 24v or a 24V with Redline box.. or stacked timing boxes.. or a modded tone ring.. anyways.. sounded like lots of timing for a VP....

Actually now that you bring it up we talked in the pits for about an hr fri. night... and we are running the same setup... except he's gotta a DD clutch and the barrels on the top of the pump look bigger than mine, but he said it was a stock 913. oh and he was launching 5k rpm's...

Oh yeah and a bigger cam, and cut pistons and valve springs and honed out jammer 5's.

but other than that its the same setup.

TP19... what time did you make the later runs... there was at least 20 trucks lined up at 2:20 when we pulled out...
They get the RPM limit out of those 3rd gens.. they're really going to be screaming.. What happened to the stacks??

Jake, we kind of figured it was P-Pumped with the timing.. Too bad is started hopping and bouncing...

I was there, and I tried to get ALL of the runs on video on my digital camera from both nights. Anyone who wants to see the videos, PM me your address, and I will burn you CD's of the videos, and send them to you, no worries.

well the video's arrived yesterday and i owe you a big thanks wunderwood. and i need to have a little more faith in my clutch. i came out way too soft, i didn't get it rolling till better than half track. and does that white 3rd gen that beat me out for modified class have some n20, that was one smoke free run.
