I would recommend calling DTT, Suncoast, and Goerend and talk to them about their trannys and make your desicion from there. Also use the search function, you will find more than you will want to read.

tranny

With your location I would call Goerend. I absolutely love mine. Friend has about 30K on his and probably 12 hooks. I only have about 5 hooks on mine, but I drive my truck very hard at times. Tranny has been flawless.

Which one did you get from them? Their prices are very reasonable.

I would suggest Goerends, www.gbtransmissions.com He is an awsome guy to deal with and his warrenty can't be beat. Mines holding up just fine with the mods in my sig.

I'd talk to DTT. Never heard of one breaking, great guys to deal with. Honestly though, it's all up to you. I'd say that the top 3 (DTT, Goerends, Suncoast) are all equal in quality and customer service. They just have different ways of building these trannies. I prefer the DTT approach which is a single disk but they eliminate any fluid leaks inside the tranny along with a bunch of other stuff that I have no clue. Other guys prefer the multi disk setup. Just spend some time talking with each of them and then decide which one you want to go with. You really can't go wrong with any of them.

I'll second that. I broke an output shaft a couple months ago, took it up to Dusty on a sunday afternoon and he fixed it right then.
