ill never be going to that pull again, waste of time and money, the track sucked, and so did the sled. oh and the last time i checked, tires dont limit horsepower, motor rules do.

Which pull are you talking about? As far as New Lex - sled was a little weird but the track was fine after they watered it. I never saw a first gen pull. So I didnt see you.

Logan: I dont know what to think (except I feel like Im talking to myself in the Pulling forum ) Anyway back to you. I reread your sig and now I see you got a first gen 2wd. What's the deal? You slam a pull that you didnt specify, you have a 2wd, and you tell us diesel guys we are lucky becasue of your buddy's gas truck weights or whatever. You are really confusing - what gives?

yes my first gen is 2wd but were not talking about that, i never once said i pulled a diesel, i was just making a statement about the guy wanting to go up in weight and that it would be great to be able to run 8,000 sometimes in the gas trucks, from your reasoning, if you own a diesel you can't pull a gas truck????? id much rather pull a gas truck than a diesel. this topic is about new lex right???? well after me and a friend drive 2 1/2 hours and another friends dad drives almost 2 1/2 hours to pull his gas truck in the cheater stock class we aren't allowed to win money cause they don't let 35's in the cheater stock class, and they dont have the rules posted anywhere but at the pull, cause some how 33's limit horsepower, we was the red 80's 1 ton chevy that got 2nd in the cheater stock class, and there was 1 first gen that pulled, he blew the charger off the motor. sorry if i sound a little ticked but that was alot of wasted time and money to drive up their and be told we cant win because of tire size. the track was like 15 feet wide, they didnt have a roller, and you couldnt spot the sled, so you run in a groove that was 4 inches deep.

whoooa, i wasnt saying you cant pull if your not diesel. I cut my teeth on gas trucks. I love my 85 and 88 rams. Also I love the class and especially the class of truck your friend was pulling. You are right about the width of the track - that sucked. As for the first gen that was one of my best friends. If that turbo hadnt blown he would have wen through the cones at the end. He went 450 feet once last year. Its pushing 800 hp. Hes got the diesel shop - Vannest. Sorry about your luck. I guess i dont worry to much about the money - I just love to pull. I pulled with the big boys just for fun there at the end. Again - I love those gas trucks just as much as the diesels.

its not really the money, its just the fact we could do our best and actually place, then be told we cant because of something as silly as tire height, that flat black chevy that beat us has alot nastier motor than the truck we brought and we was happy to be able to compete with him, thompson has a nasty gas truck period, rumor has it his old motor he just sold was 1000 horse and dyno certified for 32,000$$, his new motor is supposedly over 1000 horse. that old dodge of your buddies was running great, i was kinda mad to see it blow up, you see the old IH flatbed with the p-pump motor in it.

Yea I talked to that guy with the International. I kinda got a soft spot for those old trucks...and old Scouts (got 3 ) We talked about the conversion. It had a 345 at one time, and he couldnt get it to run right. That truck was very clean - it was impressive.

nope don't know em, not on this board too often. I may not even go as i've gotta get rid of my truck, found a deal on a car from my dad, and responsibly it's the best route to go, irresponsibly would be to keep the truck and neglect everything else. If the deal works, the truck will be let go as a steal.

Let me know of the deal with your truck - hate to see someone let their ride go, but my brother may be interested in a good deal
