Just wondering if there is anyone working on one of these for the mod class. I would like to see some serious competition this coming pulling season.

I think it comes down to dollars. To get a Dmax pr PS to make enough HP would be VERY expensive. Also The fuel systems that the DMax and PS employ flow no where near what a P-pump (modded ) can

*cough* kyle *cough* michaels *cough* *cough* Sorry, I had something stuck in my throat.

Seriously I think there should be competition if the bottom end of a dmax can be held together whilst running a 3-400 shot of nitrous. Granted it will take massive dollars, but hey, it's just money. We've got a lot to learn from the other racing organizations about strength, cylinder pressures and block reinforcements. JMHO,

Call up Scheid, Haisley, Enterprise and ask them how much they have into their Mod truck and how much it would be to build one. That will answer your question.

when i asked Van how much it would be for a complete engine he told me $50,000-60,000 and thats just for the engine. then thrrow in a complete tube chassis, a set of rockwells,4 disc clutch and a set of cut tires and then your talking some money. kyle michaels i'm sure has the money to do it, he only lives about 8 houses down from me and his family has a very very successful potato farm

SmokinDodge12V, I was answering your question. Since a Mod truck is so expensive to build I doubt you'll be seeing one with a Powerstoke or Duramax anytime soon.

Money is money right so what does it matter what brand of truck it is used on, surely there are plenty of people out there with the money to build a stroker or dmax for the mod class.

The guys with the money and a Duramax might be into drag racing, boat racing, tractor pulling, ect. instead of truck pulling. Not that I have an extra $100000 laying around but the guys like me that are into truck pulling and have a Duramax don't want to take a 2001 and newer truck, gut it, cut it, and make it into a mod diesel pulling truck. How many 2001 and newer Dodges are in the Mod class?
