Probably diesel only?

I don't care how you get there, that is some big power! It takes a lot of tuning to get that high on a 12v...especially with nitrous, right Doug??

Awesome run too, btw!

Hmm, the print on the top of the graph says 1200 torque, while the font lists 1020/1728 and 832/1460.

The numbers are right.

The 1200 is where the dyno might have maxxed out.

You can easily calculate by hand what the torque was all you need is the rpm and hp number.

I just think if you can get there without drugs then that is some real accoplishment. I know 800hp is a good feat in itself but anyone can add drugs to get 200 extra hp. imo its just to easy. no afence on anyone, just a truck puller who likes #2 only.

I run my 1200hp/1200tq software most always because I like it better. I do have 1500/1500 software.

When the limit is reached, it "flatlines" the graph. Using RPM and the measuerd HP, I calculate the actual tq that the software prevented me from seeing. When I am having tuning sessions like the one here, I do this for the customer if max was reached.

800 without and 1000+ with drugs is impressive any way I look at it. Would love to have a 1st gen running 800hp, would trade my '03 in a heart beat for it.

This is not a correct statement..... Not just anyone can add nitrous and expect to see a 200 HP gain. In fact most guys would destroy parts with a 200 HP dose of juice. It takes some serious enginework to use nitrous effectively, its not just install and shoot stuff. I see guys all the time who say it ain't true HP if drugs were used, but the truth is HP is HP no matter how you got there. 1020 on a 5.9 is a great accomplishment!

I don't mean to sound dumb, but I was watching a pulling match and there were trucks that said they had 1400hp and 1800tq. What are those guys running?

Bigger chargers, more RPM, water injection, and a serious load on the engine

AFAIK,

I am wondering how much more there is in that rig.. That dyno run was so short, If you could load it harder for about another 5 seconds, that graph might look a little flatter and higher...

I like the pre-loading before hitting the juice, Brake assisted start???

I love being part of a community that gets things done, even if I am just sitting over here in the peanut gallery...

i was just glad to see it was a 12valve! and that I read first about >1000 HP in DTR! and that its a CUMMINS!

Its great!!! loved it! just showed it to a guy, who tells me that diesels are old fashioned...
He hated the name in my MSN: Diesels aren't for everybody! Just us, normal people!
