i saw that truck pull at tulare, it was ok not super inpressive, i seen other trucks there thta did better, Brian kinney's powerstroke, nick d'amico, doug lindsey, and scott's new beast.
i dont think i would be runnig 13.5:1 pistons ether, did i mention his engine compartment is a bit messy too.

but GREAT numbers

Exatcally! Just because you can hit high numbers on the dyno dosent mean anything! thats for sure..When you set it up for dyno running thats one thing but that dosent mean you will run with the big dogs in the pulling and drag racing world..

PDI's truck is no slouch. I believe he did very well in the pulls in Las Vegas at the DHRA event. As far as dyno numbers go if it was dynoed at PDI's dyno then the numbers are probably off 150 HP. Its been that way for several trucks that have went to PDI, then straight to Vegas and dynoed. As far as the guy saying that dyno numbers in general are BS, he's full of BS( as long as its a true dyno number). Usually guys that make that kind of statement are guys that figure out how to make HP. HP is HP, what you do with it is a different story.

man, who cares what it is. We always like to hear big power numbers, but when someone posts what they got, all the doubters fly in and bash them and their numbers.. any power over my truck is wortha congrats in my book, and I am putting down 412 hp.

OUCH!!!, the blue line on the dyno looks good....but the other 2 look like you either tried spiking the dyno, or considering you are maddog, lost traction a few times!!

Edited by admin Turbo has an EXDUCER around 130mm. The inducer is about 96mm

I had one below a K31 before. It was laggy, but not as laggy as would be expected.

I have one guy running the Phat B as a single on a dedicated pull truck.

Wes,
There are 2 exducers on a given turbo and 2 inducers....

But I think what you are trying to say is that turbine exducer is 130mm and the compressor inducer is 96mm?

The inducer is the point where air enters the wheel and the exducer is where the air leaves the wheel for both compressor and turbine wheels.

I never said anything bad about their numbers its awesome i would love to have a 1000HP dyno sheet... But there are alot of trucks that are dyno queens and when you put them into a drag race or sled pull they get there butt handed to them by a truck that is laying down alot less dynoed power...Mainly due to the fact of trying to light a large laggy charger... For example Van Haisley told me Rock Hard Ram would be lucky to lay down 800 HP on a roller dyno and they are claming 1400HP +

Both are compressor numbers.

I'm thinking the Compressor Inducer was 96mm Compressor Exducer was 136mm

I don't remember any of the Turbine numbers at this moment in time.

I will say this though, the turbine is tight for that big of a charger.

Also, extended tip technology in a 500 chassis turbo is very nice and does help in the ability to move air while maintaining the ability to spool well. Plus the Phat has a pretty darn high pressure ratio.

It with a K31 can make some dang big boost without getting off of there maps. I've seen the maps for both and they are rank when you get past the surge line.
