Couldn't have said it better myself

Infraction points handed out to the guys who thought this was a Kindergarten school ground fight. If you guys can't be respectful to each other, then just don't post..

Yes I trailered it there and then unloaded it and drove it around for the weekend. I also gave five different people rides and they all were runs that took some serious rubber off the tires. All test drives exceeded 100lbs of boost. I now have it in Pamona so I have something to drive around while at the race track for two days. Get your facts straight Inline6power before you use your fingers to open you mouth.

funny how you can do all this driving around but when they asked you to race on sunday you said no, you had to think about it. that was bull in my book. so let me get this straight. you trailered it that far to give 5 or 6 rides but you couldnt put on a show for all the people that wanted to see it sunday? i wasnt trying to bad mouth you i was trying to stick up for Reb. simply didnt no you had those runs this weekend as probably did most people. yes i saw you drive it in the parking lot and thats it. like i said, i am sorry i wasnt trying to bad mouth you cause i think you have one bad truck, i was simply stickin up for my buddy. only trying to make a comparison. no harm intended.

Do you think I should risk my life or wreck a truck that has a ton invested in it because you and other people want to see it? They asked if I would like to race on Sunday and because of the run on Saturday and how it turned out (and no it was not cause I lost) which was a real scare. I have been down the track many times in that truck, and have had some close calls, but the 1/8 mile dirt drag in Tulare was to close for comfort. So my taking some time to think about the situation and go over in my mind if putting on a show for you was worth the risk of a major pile up and returning home to my wife and kids all busted up or worse in a body bag was how you put it "that was bull in my book" Maybe you should re-think who is full of bull.

The main reason I came to Tulare was discuss and look at the possibility of bringing my portable dyno for next year so all the events would be at the same place, and at the time thought it would be fun to run in the dirt drags. I brought my toter home so I could stay in it for the Tulare event as well as the drag racing school in Pamona on Tuesday and Wednesday, and then I could use the truck to get around.

I don't think the point is to rag on anyone in particular. However to "campaign" a truck at an event and get 2nd only both days to an "archaic" "dirty old" 12 valve with twins,NO2, and a 12MM P-pump. Then to go to a seprate dyno and post how all of a sudden your #1 and the event dyno is reading a 200HP low. Well lets see all of the top performers dyno graphs and then lets see what changes were made to instantly make your trucks 200HP deficit up. I mean c'mon guys if your going to be at an event and your going to compete then go to a completely different dyno at least take the #1 and #3 guys with you and see if your still "king of the day".
Just can't take the new truck getting knocked around by a little old out of date 12V?

Ok, back to work for me now................

K5 yeah its a dirty old 12v but to be fair they had a little more time to do things to the 12v and work to understand them.

It's a little before my time of keepin up with diesels but did anybody brake 1000HP with a 12v in 98 (on a 94 motor since that the same length of time, 4 years, as don has had).

Too bad you guys arent both 4 wheel drive then maybe you could both hook'em up to the sled and see who prevails.
Kind of puts things in perspective when your motor has to run WOT @ full power for 20-25 seconds straight.

I am not sure, but I believe the only one stopping Maddog from using Nitrous, is Maddog himself. So the what ifs don't hold water. You bring what ever you can to a race, pull, gun fight, and hope it is good enough to win! That is not taking anything away from what Maddog has!

I read all the time how dyno numbers mean little, and to bring it to the track, and the true power will shine. Then when the wrong guy wins (Not saying Reb, or Maddog are the ones causing the stir!) then it must be the track, the tires, lets compare the trucks without Nitrous, no lets just compare what everyone brought. It is always something that many have a problem with.
Can't we all just be happy that diesel trucks are coming along very nicely. (Regardless of manufacture!)
I hope the Duramax comes out on top in the next year or two, but it they don't, they don't. I will not lose any sleep over it.
