Big Rigs Talk about other Cummins powered vehicles here. As a matter of fact, it doesn't even have to be Cummins, but it will be diesel! :)

I used to drive an older FL60 quite a bit. Loved it, especially the air dump on the rear. Made hookin up to the gooseneck a piece a cake. Only thing I didn't like about it was it got a little squirrely on wet roads.

We have a bunch of the M2's at work and most of the ones I have seen have the Cat C7's. Never seen one with a MBE in it. Come to think of it I haven't even seen one with a Cummins in it.

Starting with the 2007 EPA engines. The M2's only came available with the low horsepower single turbo version of the MB900, ISB, or ISC.

The MB900 twin turbo did not pan out with EPA emissions and had to be recalled. I would say at least 90% of the M2's in production are receiving Cummins engines.

I am not a 100% sure but I think we (Ryder location 1154) have at least 4 M2 straight trucks that have the C7. Atl east one of thsoe has the HO 275 HP version, but I know that one is around a 05.

Those are some sweet looking rigs guys!

At the last roadrace (Motorcycles) I attended there was a single axle Volvo latched on to a BIG toy hauler. Don't recall anything like these!

I see your from Canada, so, there may be slight differences in the EPA or importation laws.

For the U.S. the LOW horsepower version of the MB 900 is the ONLY MB available besides the soon to go away MB4000. Between those two, the only engine 07 EPA and up available is the ISB and ISC. Many, many are running around.

We have always had a partnership (more or less) with Cummins. The ISX will be shipping mid 2010 as an option in Western Star and Cascadia trucks.

Many CAT C7, 3126, and C13's were put into M2 and FL chassis Freightliners. However, you will not see one EPA 07 C7 CAT engine in an M2. Only 2006 and older C7 engines.

Good Choice!!!! The Sport Chassis is a very popular rig for horse trailers and race car haulers. We have built a lot of these at the Daimler, Mt. Holly TMP. For those folks with the Cat engines, if you need assistance for parts and or service up north, Call Jack Fremont at Mid West Diesel in Minn. Great staff of guys to work with and they will not rip you off.

Wow, getting a Freightliner is super cool! Selling your old stuff to get it sounds like a big deal, but it's awesome how it easily pulls your big horse trailer. It's got a strong engine and it's ready for lots more trips. Very cool!
