Big Rigs Talk about other Cummins powered vehicles here. As a matter of fact, it doesn't even have to be Cummins, but it will be diesel! :)

I never took notice till I started working on trucks, but you ever notice the movies where rigs are "out of control" with no brakes because someone cut their lines, or they are out of air or something? If a truck runs out of air..it's gonna stop or at least slow down till the brakes are cooked. Unless someone cut their air lines, then snuck under there and caged all the chambers, is a truck really ever "out of control"?

Ditto on the GMC from Smokey and the Bandit 2. Though the third installment of that franchise was unbearable to watch, the rig in the opening scene of # three was a good lookin truck too!

If I remember correctly OTT was partly filmed at the world armwrestling championships in Houston...one year before I qualified. Friends of mine were in the movie and competed while Stallone was there.

anyone remember that show on nbc, "the highway man" ? Starred Sam Jones. Was on in the late '80s'. Had a couple futuristic style trucks, the main one turned into a helicopter. Cheesy right?
Attached is a pic of a Bj and the Bear lookalike rig I found on supershowrigs.com.

ok, just saw the post about the highway man truck. ugh, that's some butt-ugly paint! I'd like to know the mechanical specs of it though. Motor, tranny, chassis, etc. Glad to see it's still on the road though. A small piece of history I suppose.

My favorite movie big rig has always been the Mack that Mel Gibson drove at the end of the "Road Warrior" I always liked that movie for the cool battle cars and stuff they had.
