I have 2009 mbe 4000 in a western star that I'm wanting to delete the dpf and egr. I know to do this i will need to reprogram the ECM. I have found a guy that does it but it has a Detroit ECM and he only has a software for mercedez ECM. Any help would be appreciated, thanks

 

Im confused by your comment. You have a MBE 4000, which has what is called a PLD(ecm) on the engine & a VCU(ecm) in the cab. The VCU should be under the dash, pretty much behind the key. You dont have a Detroit ecm, Detroit is customer support for these MBE engines in Canada & the US. If you found a guy that can hot rod PLD & VCU`s your set. I have been fixing these wonderful engines() in Western Stars since they came out back in 1998.
