My '03 had a blown motor when I got it. #1 valves fell in. I replaced it with an SO engine and so far so good. Did 1200kms on about 140L of fuel going Calgary to Stoon(best ever).

Pulls my 17K trailer like a freight train! Just put on a turbo from an '05 and its even better now.

The exhaust brake with lift and 305's is really sweet now, use it all the time and it's now smooth..........
About mileage, I never cared to hand calculate it, best I got on comp was 10.2L/100K, now it seems stuck at 17......Haven't done any long drives lately and I unplugged the EGR at the dealership
Darn pix won't upload....
I just had one tank go over the 1000km today/yesterday. I would unplug the egr, it makes a differance. After that you should try a rip with the stock exhaust removed. I took mine out for a rip today, running just the stock 6.7L downpipe. I can't believe that the stock exhaust on the 10 dodge was that bad Averaging around the 10-12l/100km mark, going out to Nordegg yesterday, I average 21-22mpg.
