YUP---14 inches on the driveway in the NW,neighbor 2 doors down came over to complain about me letting my diesel warm up off the driveway(street) while i shoveled before i headed out to do some running around. He didn't really care for the smell/noise----"NO PROBLEM SIR"---let me pull it onto the drive way and let it sit there warming up.Says he really doesn't care for The "Diesel Truck/Pickup thing(whatever that means").I told him that i really didn't care for him parking his RV on the street for 6 weeks last year--- he shut up and left---always someone to complain---but they never look into "their" doings.I could of been an even bigger PR$CK and fired up old blue with the exhaust brake running, nothing like rubbing as "little salt" into the wound.PS i'm really starting to hate living in the city, one day i'll be on an acreage.DW

What a jerk....I hate idiot neighbors that have nothing else better to do but complain about the stupids things in life..I'm so lucky here in Canyon medows....My neighbors are retired and they love my truck...and my many cars...They like to see the finally product, like the truck that was a complete wreck being restored to what it is now...They take very good care of me also...Watch my house when I'm away and invite me for supppers and drinks...In summer our back alley is very nice...I cut all the grass all the down for about 8 house...It doesn't take long because everthing I have is gas powered and takes me 1/2 hour...Cutting grass is good stress relief..

About the same here but it helps that i have a Ariens blower .
Kinda funny when snow like this hits how many people get that look when they see me doing the parking pad and the sidewalks

Its good you have nice neighbors Dave, the ones on either side of me are wonderful, nice people---all it takes is one---you can pick your friend but not your neighbors. It seem i"m the guy that has the one tool that all the others don't have and need to borrow,or they could use my flat deck to haul away something---usually i say no problem---but with guys like that it makes it makes you want to say %$ck-em.I have yet to ask any of them for anything, but when they need something i usually willing to help out if i"m not busy.

Hopefully it stays that way. I'm coming up your way tomorrow, tired of the crappy weather that always seems to be in Edmonton. Atleast I'm bringing a 4x4 with some weight in the back this time, won't be like last year with an unloaded dually plowing through 16" of snow through the parking lots.

EASY!!!!!!!!! I'm down here for rescue training. As an instructor, I don't work so hard or move around too much.........it's kinda chilly in that situation. I didn't bring own too much for woolies as it was spring, wasn't it?

Crap!!! I completely forgot about mentioning to you Southerners I was around to possibly get together for a beverage. I'm an idiot. My only excuse is exhaustion from watching everything so no one gets dropped.

One of the reasons I left and have never looked back! Yep, it's 300 km a day round trip back to Sundre but when the truck goes high idle and 3 cyl mode kicks in, WHO CARES!!!

I would have loved to be a little closer but I'm not complaining when it comes to land prices, what I paid for 5 1/2 acres would buy an empty lot in Calgary and besides, we only got 12 inches of snow today.
