Well it finally happened!!!!

So im driving out of regina and i was lookin for a bussiness and then i seen it. So i went to the next approch and turned around and put my foot in to it a bit. Well once i hit 3rd gear all i herd was a BOOOMM. And all i could think is i blew a frost pug. But much to my astonishment none of my gauges went wonky. So i pulled over and poped the hood and herd a nice loud whistle comin from my turbo area. And lone and behold, The air to air boot on the turbo blew in half. So i called the dealer and they wanted 165 for the boot and i also called the wrecking yard(SGI Salvage) and they had no idea what i was talking about but said if i came and looked on a couple trucks then they could get it off for me. So i drove there and they sure had it. They had 4 03 dodge cummins and he took the boot of for me and just gave it to me as it is something that they usually tose out. But that was my day in paradise yesterday as i though it was something major.

Maybe it was just a celebratory BOOM that you were leaving the town of Regina... "the city that sounds like it smells..."

HAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAAHAHAHA sorry, no offense intended...

Anyways, glad it was an easy fix, I looked at my turbo boots the other day and they are getting "aged"...

What is left of those trucks there? Cheap engines? I could always use a CR head . . .

They were just about complete. They have a core 5.9L CR but not sure how much. I think the core is around 2k. They have a set of injectors sitting there for me. 500 plus tax.

I called the GM at SGI salvage and told him how you guys were badmouthing Regina and he raised all the prices for you tourists.

He said he knew something was up but he figured it was some podunk from the north trying to pretend he was a city dude and had sympathy...he also threw in some Irish Spring but he saw that it was left in the yard.

We all know Regina rhymes with [censored] Just ask Mick Jagger since the Rolling Stones came to Regina and not Stoonsville. Check their site...we rated as their top stop on their tour.

I blew off a few IC boots over the years. The best one was when I was pulling around 60psi, and then a big boom. After that I ran two clamps on that boot. What really fixed the problem was getting rid of that stock junk. I ran the heavy duty boots and clamps. When I went to the spearco, new stuff again. The inlet to the spearco is 3in not the stock 3 1/2in. I just went down to gates and bought some heavy duty 3in hose.

I always like Regina, sure beats lots of other small northern bush towns or a flea bug workcamps that I've been at. Lots of hotties there, and the beer is good. Pricey, hotels though...

Luck of the Dodge

I just put around 20K on our white 04 and coming home the water pump gave up the ghost. Thank god it wasn`t Fort Nelson BC at -40c.
