Tailgate?
Not sure it's what you want on your truck, but I'd consider one of those aftermarket fifth wheel tailgates.
Also, you may want to call one of those shops that build flatdecks and service bodies for trucks. They must have some take-off pickup boxes and tailgates kicking around.

That could get you killed down here.

I'll keep all those in mind. Dad talked me into taking it into the body shop of a family friend. The plan is a rough repair and then get it sprayed with bedliner as the trailer sends back gravel all the time anyway.
We'll see what he has to say and if feasible - still up in the air.

Well, she went from the pics in post #9 to this:
Today, I had Dad pick it up from getting sprayed with bedliner after repairs were complete as I'm in Airdrie.

Believe it or not, mountain bike handlebar - the bike was stationary.......in my garage..........hanging.....................I was rushing to get Lisa's ring into the house and hidden as she wasn't far behind me coming home from work and not watching how far I was backing ......................It still bugs me.

No damage to bike
..............I really don't wanna talk about it no more.........

Festus, I just drove into my mountain bike handle bar yesterday as well, and the bike won the truck lost. I broke the plastic cover around drive side rear tail light. Its only money.
I thought would help you feel abit better,
Bike no damage, truck damaged.

I also messed my tailgate up recently, had the tailgate down with the trailer on, its just a little 12' tilt deck so it isnt tall enough to hit it or anything but apparently when you back up a driveway with it the handle on the jack goes up quite a bit and makes for a nice chisel effect on the paint. Of course I didn't notice till I backed up it 3 times.

I got home Thursday morning and it's on. I wasn't sure if the black bedliner would match up being on the outside. However, I kinda like it - matches up with the limo tint on the back window nicely.
