Swagelok Stuff

To follow Kevin's lead, anyone know of a good source for Swagelok fittings? I'm not in a hurry to buy, but I'd like to see what its gonna cost me to do my fuel and oil lines in it.

not sure of the exact business name . . . but i think it is called calgary valve & fitting (or similar) on blackburn road in the south, just off mcleod.
big swagelok sign outside . . . as though you would think the business name is swagelok!

There is only one company that supplys Swagelok fittings. Calgary Valve and Fitting, Edmonton Valve and Fitting etc. They are all over Alberta - Fort Mac, Brooks, Med Hat, Red Deer - you get the idea.

There are other companies that have fittings and are likely a fair bit cheaper (30%-50% but Im guessing). Hylok and Parker are in Edmonton, but I bet they are in Cowtown too.

Note, Swagelok DOES have conventional AN type fittings if thats what youre after. Also, the swagelok website is pretty decent but I may have an old catalogue if you need one.

Forgot to mention that Edmonton Valve has a walk in counter where you can buy with cash/debit.

If you can source that stuff through someone with an account, like an instrument tech, you could save a few bucks on over the counter pricing.

Forgot to mention, we buy a fair bit of stuff so I may be able to get decent pricing (but it will still be $$)

Swagelok does have very nice SS flexible hose with teflon lining. Are you going bigger than 1/2" Tate?

I did not use any swagelock,,, I just bought AN fittings and SS hose from Gregs and built my own hoses for my whole fuel system etc. Wasnt too bad for price really.. I think with all the plumbing I did,, which is considerable I might have around 500 bucks in,, and I have a fair bit of left over too

I meant follow your lead as in starting a thread on a contact for supplies, not the use of Swagelok. But thats beside the point.

Rob, if you happen to find out if you can get deals or not that would be good.

Shane, once I get my list compiled, I'll let you know.

Jason, your comment reminded me of the fact (a very obvious fact) that my sister is an instrument tech and does sales. I'll have to ask her. I have a feeling they are more into the controls than fittings and tubing, but its worth a shot.
