Steering Brace - Solid Steel - Weyburn Sask.

Folks,
The next thing on my truck 'to-do' list is install a steering brace. The best reports I get are about the brace from Solid Steel in Weyburn Saskatchewan. I just tried to call them and the number on their website is out of service and the email address on their website bounces. Does anyone know if they are still in business?
I am posting here rather than the main forum as I figure that Alberta folks will know best about what is going on in Saskatchewan.

I would just order it through Harry at Peak and see what he says.

its the exact same because BD ripped off the design.

you cannot order direct. you have to get it through a dealer. as long as he hasnt packed up shop. which would be too bad.

this is what I had on my 24v.

ya just put one on my truck from peak a couple weeks ago, had it within 2 days of ordering through peak, price was right and it fit almost perfectly. needed a little customizing in my vice first.

That is what BD does with a lot of stuff(southbend clutch/edge comp ect)I put a BD one on my 07 a couple of months ago----the powder coating seem better than the original DSS brace on my 01 but the design is identical.(I have his steering brace + trackbar and bracket on my 01).Only reason i bought the BD one was DPS matched Peaks price and had one right there to go---$235.00+GST Can is what i paid.DW

Got the DSS on my dad's 01. Since it wasn't lifted I saved a few bucks and went with a 3rd gen trac bar instead of the adjustable one.

Gents,
I just spoke to a very nice lady at Solid Steel. Steering brace and a urethane bushing for my new trackbar will be here tomorrow. Now that is service. One warning for all of you, their website is www.solidsteel.biz NOT www.solidsteel.ca !!!!! So as to not get anyone in trouble I won't say much but the .ca website isn't them even though it really looks like it is.
I guess I know what I am doing on Saturday - trackbar and steering brace installation.

I just realized that I might have to update my signature now, 3 mods completed - Posi-lok replacement for CAD, adjustable trackbar and DSS Steering Brace. Look who is getting all grown up

Yes Solidsteel.biz is the remaining original fabricator of the braces/TBK's etc.

Russell is the guy to talk to. He will take care of you!

i just spoke to them yesterday on the phone, and had the option of buying direct or through one of their dealers, which made shipping to me easier and faster. I also bought theirs being semi-local and the originators...

If you don't have any dealers in Barrie, ON I wouldn't fret too much. SS ships them via Greyhound. I ordered mine yesterday and it will be at the Calgary Greyhound terminal today and shipping is going to cost me about $20. If you are anyhwere near the Greyhound terminal in Barrie, it should be quite painless. I tried to find a dealer in Calgary but everyone was sold out.
