I did alot of thinking about the IC issue. And I dont feel that it will provide enough of a differnce to make up for the weight loss. In the short time that I am running the engine, and with the nitrous, I really dont think I will notice much if any loss.
BTW this weekend, got the back window out, started cutting the floor out of the box, trying to fit in the fuel cell now. This week I have to finish off the shifter install, and work on the wiring under the hood. I am going to stealth mount the nitrous solenoids in the wiper cowling. Should look pretty cool. I am going to run all extranious wiring through there too. Only the factory wire harness will be under the hood.

What you going to run for a seat? There lots of ways to get the weight down on these trucks. Kev, would you be better off just finding a set of bedsides and put in tubs and an aluminum floor. You'll probably save 500-800 lbs. There are an inner skin and outer skin. You going to run any fiberglass panels?

No fiberglass this year Mike No money. I am going to be running a plastic RCI seat and cover very light. I am even managing to lose a little weight myself. lost 12 lbs in the last month
This year there will be no floor. Just open air. Im going to leave anything that braces things but otherwise it is going.

Kev, you might want check as I thought that you need a bed floor and tubs to run at the track? Its parts of the AHRA rule book. Been looking at the rules, most of these organization seem to piggyback on each other rules in some way. All though there is no diesel catergory, here is the AHRA rule book. I've been thinking about going the same route. The tubs and floor skin isn't that much money and you can do that pretty quickly. Do you have roll cage bars going into bed?

NHRDA uses NHRA rules, and they say that I dont have to have a bed. I am going to be running tubs,, but no box. Yes I will have roll cage going into the box.
