Very shiny Kev. Looking good. Have you seen this for bedside stuff
http://www.fiberwerx.com/html/dodge/ram/bedsides.html

This way you can dump the bed and just run a sheet metal floor. I bet you lose 600-800lbs with your truck. Buy some fiberglass stuff for the front, you'll probably be very near the 5500 lbs area.

Its a big drop in weight. You should find a way to dump the bed. It would cool to see you under your weight limit.

I am going to cut the floor out of the truck. I have dropped alot of weight so far,,, I would hazard to say at least 400 lbs so far.. I think that the box should give me another 100 to 150 I think That should put me under 6000 without me in it...

Hmmm......Cutting the floor...So will the truck be racing itself after you fell out...Is that what you mean,,, you will be under 6000 without you in it...

You could also cut out the inside of the bed out as well and just use the outer skin. I bet that you could find replacement sheetmetal for the bedsides and sell the bed intact. You still using the original steering wheel? Any fiberglass/plastic in the frontend? Pro-street catergory, will be almost pro-stock vehicles and most of the trucks will have to be a drag race only vehicle, to be competive this year.

Looks great Kevin. I really like the twin setup and plumbing.. clean and direct.

Funny all this talk about weight savings drooling over a 1200# engine...LOL...
