Do you mean Ray from ThrutheWindshield? He moved out to Alix and I haven't heard from him since. I stopped by his shop and he wasn't anywhere to be found..???

The dyno show we had was in Olds at McWynnes (BD Dealer). If you remember the owner there had a fatal accident on the Coquahalla highway and the entire business just shut down.

If I had some more money, or I was closer to the end of my tenure here in FT Mac, there is a really nice portable 248c for sale down in the states,, totally turnkey, really done nice, I think a guy could pick it up for around 30.... in my mind, the dynojets are the better dyno's, more consistant, and a truer window of what your true hp is... on the other dynos you can manipulate the data to easily, and if you dont have a good operator, it can go in the wrong way

You can all come hang out in my dirt lot come April. I'll have parking for two in the front, and we should be able to fit about 15 in the back. Just no mud bogging.

Did anyone ever contact DPS in Calgary?

DPS does have a dyno days every June & while I've never been to it, I plan to be there this year. (5 minutes from our Riverbend house).
I know Deb (Littleleadfoot) has been there from her pics & videos. Any thoughts to attending that this year?

I would rather do a spring dyno days in Calgary (or Red Deer) rather than Edmonton just because of the driving time.
If I recall though, Edmonton's AFI dyno days had very good feedback from last year.
Plus a ton of Edmonton folks would likely show up for it which would be great.

Do you guys ever worry about breaking your truck when dynoing or racing your truck out of town?
My truck is very mild & will never go down a drag strip with 2wd & a 6 speed manual but it does worry me.

I do worry about this when dynoing my mustang & have only dynoed it in Calgary.
Actually only at the Mustang shop in the S.E since I live nearby in the S.E.
When I lived in Red Deer & was dragging my car at Castrol in Edmonton, I was worried too.

The long tow home, if anything happened on the dyno, would make for a total downer.

I suggest that we do both. I know that I have lots of different dyno set-ups to try out. It would be nice to GTG with the E boys.

At AFI last time, there was some carnage on the rollers. sort of. the F350 tow rig of CT performance blew the steady bearing. it was late in the day on Sat. very little open for part stores of course. But being the stand guy Martin @ AFI is made some calls pulled some strings, got a new bearing and helped change it out.

I'll go back to AFI any time.

I've dynoed with Kevin @ DPS too on a solo run. not the dyno day. it was bush league. I will never go there again. I know he runs that big wing ding in the summer. dont matter to me. I give DPS the thumbs down.
