I would sure like to redesign this, allow for a little clearance over the valve cover

It was built for a guy down in the states and he did about 5 pulls with it (supermod puller) It was making too much power and destroying his driveline, so he parted everything out, and he is going build a pro mod one, tube chasis and everything, filled block the whole kablooey

Ok, where to start...

First pic, is manifold to hot pipe, with wastegate in between this controls the secondary chargers (top charger) boost.

Next two pics, Bottom port opens wastegate, top port keeps it closed. The reason you want to be able to hold it closed is so you can run a lighter spring then your desired boost, and use a mbc (manual boost controller) to set it where you want it. Basically just for adjustablilltey.

Both of those pics show the wastegate from the hot pipe to atmosphere, this controls the primary chargers (bottom charger) boost, as well as over all boost level.

4th pic looks like a "boost elbow" a form of a mbc.

5th pic looks in the air intake horn, looks too like it could be another mbc, but tough to tell for certain from that pic.

Green hoses, No idea, are they water cooled chargers?

Last pic, is for an RPM pickup, possibly for a Data logger at some point, or was run through a Dakota Digital box, and to a tach.

Think that about covers it.

I have a pretty good idea as to how the wastegates work, but where do I get a controller? And do you have to leave it hooked up all the time?

I have a feeling that the green hoses were for his water injection system that he ran

Depends on how fancy of a controller you want as to where you would buy it, but yes you would leave it hooked up full time.

Something like that would work,

You can also try this:

I have had good luck with one very similar to that.

Why could you just not use a needle valve mounted in the cab?

I don't like bleed valves, they make the wastegates slow.

Matrix Motorsports in Edmonton is a turbosmart dealer, there part of Mayfield toyota. Over the years have gotten alot of boost parts from them for turbo yami sleds. Pretty much the same controller I have on my sled. Also want to keep close as possible to the turbo. Dont have to buy from them, as I image there is other turbo people around that sells that stuff. Lots of fast & curious stores will have something you need.

You can use pressure an adjustable air pressure pressure control valve from your local industrial supply store, go with the larger port diameter like 1/2in, smaller tubing size slows down openning rates on the gates. Its the same thing, just doesn't look as fancy. You know what pressure setting you gonna set stuff up for?

I would run more braces as I can see stuff popping off on a hi boost blast. Like the cold air tubing going from the primary to secondary. I would change the fitting on the secondary turbo inlet to a more rugged type. Yo could weld a fitting right to the secondary turbo inlet, so you don't have a boom or pressure leak.

The green hose looks like the air pressure lines for the wastegate controllers. I used air brake hose/fittings for my water/methanol spray. They just click together. I would redo some off the air tubing. Lastly you need to add NOS spray ports and water/meth ports on the air tube going into your intake.

If your gonna spray lots, you might need a a few boost pop-off valve, or we will have to get used to changing head gaskets. My guess the primary was limited to 30-40psi, so the finial boost numbers/drive pressure doesn't get to crazy. I would run the primary wastegate into the exhaust, as that gate dump looks off for a drag truck. I would also limit final boost numbers to be around 80-100psi, as you will be spraying, you don't need the big boost number. If you didn't that would be different.

Would you guys put a nos port before the secondary turbo? A small amount of nos just to cool the intake air off? I wouldn't use water, as it would ruin the compressor impeller.

Data logging would be the secert to get a decent tune on the engine.

Yes I agree on the data logging Mike. I am going to get rid of most of my guages and put in a decent data logging system. I want to sit down with you and pick your brain about that one of these days
