I like the camper! I was drooling over the sales catalouge last year. The thing is unbelievably heavy! Pretty much need a F450 to carry it.

Couldn't really see the point of a camper that heavy as it took up all the trucks GVW(even on a dually) and didn't leave anything for towing. In my mind the only reason to get a camper over over a TT is so you can tow something(boat, quads, jeeps, etc). A camper that enormous doesn't leave much for towing.

Still a sweet camper though!

Now that you mention it......... it really did look like a fat kid on a tricycle. maybe bigger rims and tires you shift the perspective away from top heavy. and I totally agree. a camper on a pickup is really only good to tow something else too. IMO.

Wow that's a beauty. Sure looks like a ton of wind resistance though.

Must be a lot of stairs to climb to get into the camper too.

I seen a Dodge 4500/5500 pickup the other day. Looked pretty sharp. I was thinking I would like one of those. Not that I need another truck, let alone a 5500.

I say ya put out a trap and bait, they seem to crave large quantities of fuel oil every three hundred miles or so, and they have a desire for new turbo's quite regularly also..... start with shiny housings scattered around the main pit, with 35 gallons of fuel in a barrel at the bottom. No need for any restraining devices, once stuck, there is no getting them back. Do this soon, before one is spotted in your driveway and your smile runs away from neglect.

I have been reading alot of good stuff about the new 6.4. Seems to be working quite well with minimum modifications. I see dyno sheets with just a tuner hitting well over 500 hp. Stock they are a pig, but they wake up real nice. Still wouldnt own one. We have a 08 ford as a company truck, it is terrible to drive, feels like you are driving a tank, makes my chevy feel like a sports car.

10km/L is pretty good, works out to around 23 mpg. Neither of my trucks get that.

When I was working at Suncor last summer, we had a 08 ford with the 5.4 to drive to and from site. It was a gutless pig. Could barely get into traffic, and would take about 100 L after about 400 km or so. Granted, this is in the mine and they get beat on, but nonetheless.

I've heard the same about doing the turner/deletes on the ford. Lots of decent deals at the dealer right now. They even giving out a $4500 credit on an old wreck. I saw a under $50k, load new 09 3500 XTR ford in the paper. The price difference between dodge and ford, will make you consider the ford. After all you have to spend $2k to fix all dodge weak stuff (emission), right off the lot. The weak RFE68, is another issue (limit to around 450-500rwhp). Then the warranty on the dodge isn't that great, been there. The ford you just abuse and throw away, next. The ford seems to respond/drive better with a 3 to 6in lift than the dodge does.

I just can't park a ford on my driveway yet, the 6.7L might change that I wish that work would just let me drive my old truck.
