Propane in Calgary by the litre?

I tried them; they will only fill by weight and they want 1.00 per pound. That equates to about $18.00 per 20# bottle. If they sell it by the liter (which they won't for 20# bottles; only for cars), it should be about 13.50 or so.
Thanks for the reply though!

Mike, Im not sure but I suspect that 20 pound tanks HAVE to be filled by weight, thanks to the stupid laws we have up here.
Coscto in Edmonton has propane and a fill is like $10. Im not sure if Calgary Costcos have propane or if you have a card.

Yep I was at the Costco (south side) and it was 9-10$ to fill the tank, by far the cheapest I have found, only problem was I found out AFTER I had bought 2 new tanks and had them filled at Mutual propane (16$ per tank!)

Had to ask Joe(stealthdiesel) a cpl weeks ago too, he advised Fas Gas near superstore off Glenmore S.E., paid $40 for 3 tanks, not sure/don't care if volume or weight - tax deductible............

Thanks all.
Filled 3 tanks at Canwest and it was 51.00.
I'll have to see if Costco in So. Calgary sells propane.
I'll check out the Fas-Gas next time too!
Thanks again!

Hey Mike, how long are you up here? We've been trying to arrange something for last 3 or 4 years now, and nothing has worked out. If you're here next weekend, we'll have to go grab lunch. Or you can come BS while swapping parts on the dually.
