Martin owns his dyno. Just his lease on his building is up as far as I know. Im sure that he will just move the unit that he has

I also vote for May with AFI. Nobody seems to upset with the dyno numbers and to me they seem accurate and repeatable/consistent. I like a good baseline and not hitting every dyno in alberta!

With my 98 I have been on 3 different dynos. One was 323hp, the other was a 380hp or so with no changes and the third was 401hp with a 0 plate instead of the #10. So who knows what one is right.

way back when when I got martin on the hook for the 1st one up there. thats when i called everyone in calgary. all were no, to either trucks or smokey diesels.

so i said screw it. and threw the hooks at martin on the Performance-shop forum. He was all for it from the get go. and when Aaron Shaffts pops Ford threw a steady bearing on the dyno. Martin pulled some strings at 9pm on a sat night to get one in hand. and helped put it in.

the man and his shop has my backing.

I remember when that ford had the bearing problem...Amazing they got it fixed so late in the day.

So I think AFI is the place to go...I will place a poll for the months and then we will work on the days..from there.

we have a tandem roller chassis dyno. the company would not be down for renting it out/ you could run a pickup on it. its been done before. i think Lildog has been there years ago in the old shop maybe.

liability mostly, the current management group would never go for it. even rigs that get booked in for dyno testing. the operator/owner, books it in. and goes away. its more of a diagnostic tool than anything else. its a computer controlled water dyno. we have an engine water dyno and a tranny dyno too.

Im all good with Martin, he is a gear head like the rest of us. He made my 1st time on the rollers a good time, edm is way close for me than cowtown. I like the idea of the same dyno so I will see how much increase the htt really added to my truck, see if it was worth the coin. Just wondering if a semi dyno was the same. Got 3 trucks for a spring gtg dyno event from lloyd. Buddy wants to see what his twin ats turbo kit will do with all the interals we also did. As the dyno @ blackout couldnt hold it down as the tires were smoking, sparking. He did it 4200rpm thou. I told my warranty is gone now, lol.

We did have a dyno day at Waterous years ago, too bad my computer crashed and I lost the production video. It was Diesel Dyno Stampede and we had guys from Washington, Oregon, and the Coast all out. The boys from DTT, Piers, BD were all there with Marshal Ennis (Strong Man announcer on TSN) as well as the Calgary Police Truck Unit. Scotty, Marshal and myself were trying to get this up as an annual event to promote Waterous and the Diesel market. The dyno was good as you knew it was going to handle any truck we had. The change of buildings, management and Scotty moving East sorta snuffed it all out..
