Need Fuel Pressure

I've decided the next thing im doing to my truck is a fuel system. I dont have much money at the moment so i was thinking of trying to peice together a system, anyone made their own setup around here? I'm planning on getting some injectors and switching from juice w/ attitude to the Adrenaline, but not to much else performance wise for a while so i dont need a crazy set up.

Thanks, Fred.

there is a home made walbro setup under the third gen secion performance on here. Or just keep you eye out for a good deal in the classifieds.

I sourced out the partial parts list you gave me Kiel. It was cheaper to go with an AD150 for what parts cost up here.

Ya and they have the lifetime warranty on the pumps which is nice. Im lookin into a new system with some more pressure once i upgrade the old CP3 to a stage 2.

Fury, you running a fuel gauge? I put a fuel gauge on my truck for about $15, so its pretty cheap. I bought a gauge from MOPAC and found some 1/4 stainless tubing at work with some swedgelock fittings.
If your bucks down, you could piece together a Hi volume carter fuel pump from NAPA and relocate it by the fuel tank. Run a fuel pressure gauge. This system wont go 100000 km, but it will get you by until you put in an aftermarket cam and 12v lift pump. The stock 12v pump is pretty reliable and cheap. Tons of pressure and you don't have high pressure start issue that some systems cause.

I have a set of BD125 injectors available if you want them. They just have 5000km on them. We can put them in and see if you like them. Have you checked your transmission out yet?

haha yeah i pulled the pan and found my intermediate band turned into filings in there, the sudders gone now i changed filter and fluid so it holds a bit better now, i have the attitude monitor and on level 5x5 on the edge it will pull fuel down to 3 psi with a new filter, ide love those stick just have to get some hours in at work first haha, havnt been able to work the past 2 weekends. ( mine and my friends 18th ) Luke said he relocated his stock pump and ran a big line kit and it lasted him a while so i might try that first.
Wheres the best place to either buy a big line kit, or peice one together?
Thanks for all the help.

hey Fred, I got you bit kit at my house still..........

you can order a bigline kit from a place like Glacier diesel. or Vulcan. they're alright for a whole kit. you can by everything you need at pretty much any hose shop in calgary too though. Use push-loc JIC fittings for hose ends, and metric JIC fittings to replace the Banjo bolts. a bracket and wire harness extension for the lift pump and you're just about covered. I've probably even got extra hose in my garage.........somewhere

You dumping the stock fuel filter housing? I would put in 1/2 hose, any auto part shop will have it or try the hydralic shop. I think MOPAC sells the spin on glacer fuel filters, but if your bucks down, I would just live with the stock filter set-up. The hi volume carter pumps (samething as the stock lift pump) are around $100, so they are pretty cheap. If I remember correctly it has 3/8 npt inlet/outlet. You can try the sticks and pay me later for them if you want. They are just sitting in my garage. Have you taken any pressure measurements on your tranny? That way you'll know if you have if you have a good transmission or not. You might be able to baby it until you get some $$$ for a tranny. Change the filter often. At least it wont plug up with junk and reduce holding pressure on the clutchs.
