Sounds like the governor or rack is hangin up Tater... Or maybe one of the springs broke on the governor..

Dave, we need to do the AFC mods on yours. I did mine just before christmas and i went from 23psi to 32psi and now i get a BBCOD

I did the complete AFC mod this summer...Didn't seem to make a diiference...

I was kind of thinking the same thing, something up with the gov springs. I wanted a bigger pump anyway for the 12v instead of the 175, so once I get the new one, I'll fiddle with the gov springs on the bench.

Once I start letting the clutch out, it'll drop back down to around 750 rpm, but going 30km/h in 3rd gear, it'll start picking up speed on its own without any throttle. I'm just glad I don't have an auto. Icy stops, or going from neutral to drive or park would hurt methinks.

Dave you can do a run with the DVs that I got too if you want.........I'm actually curious to see how they differ to a known good set of 181/191s.

Thanks Luke...I'm going to Tates this weekend to try the 181DV...Be interesting to see if my setup will get hot with your DV...If the heat is ok,I would like to dyno with both sets...Thanks...
