Yeah we are having .120" fly cuts done to clear the cam that Geoff / Hamilton came up with. Just a wee bit bigger then stock.

I am assuming this is due to a larger overlap window?

I don't do race engines, but take vibration data on industrial engines all the time to see the actual cam timing vs. the book.

This is the public response from the fellow that sold me the engine. What a maroon,

keep in mind, I never heard this engine over the phone at all, so I am not sure where he came up with that

Sucks you're left out in the cold, but you seem remarkably composed about it, atleast from what I ahve seen. But I guess we all know that you have to pay to play, and from time to time, **** goes wrong and we get burned.

The only small but good thing is that engine isn't in too bad of shape considering how bad it was plugged up, it could be alot worse. Its still rebuildable, the troubleshooting parts/cost has been really the painfull part..

Still been wondering where that sludge came from .

You know i looked at the pictures. The first thing I thought of was some of that block sealer stuff. When the owner knows the head is cracked or gasket is gone
Either way very crappy

Wonder what you would get back if you sent the sludge in for an oil analysis?

Probably a gear-box analysis might shed some light. The particles in the sludge might be too big for the common engine oil analysis.

Kev have you looked at the carrillo rods? Suppose to be the lightest billet ctd rod available. Abit more money than the crower.

You're going to have one heck of a neat build going buddy.
