leaky trans line

Hey guys had a quick question. Ive got a leak on the line between my two transmission coolers right at the little check valve, I believe its only the o ring but dodge wont sell the o ring alone and i cant take my truck out of commission and drive around with the o ring as a sample. The part number for the line and valve assembly is 50010185ab and they want 135 bucks. All i need is the o ring for the pushlock connector. anybody know or have an old one i could use the o ring from for a sample?

Are you near a Finning shop or Parker store? Any good hydraulic hose maker can probably supply you one. Might have to bring Timmies though as the time to find you one will be 10X what the part is worth.

Well i work at finning, but i have never seen a connector like that one, and im a little worried to pull it apart, pluck the o ring out, wreck it and find out i cant get the right one. Ive never heard of a parker store. I assume its just someone that distributes parker products?

Go talk to the guy in your hose shop and ask him if he has a fairly decent supply of o-rings. If he does then you'll need to pull that line off and bring him the o-ring for a sample. I doubt you are going to find the specs for it anywhere.

Is it possible to bypass the cooler? Could get away without as long as you aren't towing anything,

I noticed a similar leak on my 05 dually right before I headed up to NE BC with my 04.5 for work. Your fellow idiot is hoping that this is the same issue with mine but it will be 3-4 weeks before I can get home & check it.

Thanks for the tip.

Your getting off cheap. During my Twins install it was found my ac pump bearing was bad. Required pump replacement. After Twins installed my lift pump went out. So far everything is sweet. Plan on getting my ASW Twins on the dynojet when I get home next month. Good luck on your Twins.

The only silly thing is that it's has nothing to do with any performance parts on the truck, just a stupid check valve!!!
