I find the same thing with 24V VP injector, depending on the manufacturer, for the same power there would be a varition in smoke and egt's. Jammer where the worst on a 24V truck. Even worse than a set that I ran pre-EDM, ya the old way. If possible go with dynomite or F-1, its worth the money. BD make mid range injectors. Might be a jammer nozzle with some just abit of cleaning. Seen that both on the 12v and early 24v motor's.

Clayh, my best smoke story is the morning of the recent AFI dyno event. My brother and I just got money out the royal bank ATM in Sherward Park. There was a little brand spanky new yellow corvette convertable driving beside me, on my right. I forgot that I had my truck set on kill, as my memory isn't good anymore. I just filled the corvette with that thick sooty smoke. It was funny. My brother saw the entire thing out of his mirror. I might have to find another sports car victom soon.
I thought that the guy would have been talked to me about that one. but nothing happened. Next time...

My wife and I had an argument in the old '92 one time which resulted in her getting out and slamming the door, I HATE that! I got peeved and floored it when I pulled away. I had JUST messed with the pump and turned down the wheel for low boost fueling too much. I completely engulfed her in a cloud of smoke. Needless to say I lost that argument and was the one apologizing.

Anyway I pulled out the Edge nozzles last weekend and put the stock injectors back in. It was like pulling a sliver out, you never really realized how much it bothered you till it was gone!

The rattle is gone, the truck is quieter and way less smokey. EGTS WAY down as well. I pulled them because I could hit 1500F without even trying when towing, even at night in the rain. Whats the point of the extra HP if you cann't use it?

I miss the extra bottom end torque but think I'll watch out for a used pressure box. Something I can turn off if the smoke/egts get out of hand.

I'm pretty sure the problems were from the tips and not the injectors as I ran them for 6 months and did some heavy towing and they never really changed.

Anyone want to buy a set of injectors with edge tips?

My wife slams my door on my truck. I fixed her, I bought another truck, so she doesn't have to ride in the 02 anymore. I want my 6'rs back in and my twins back on. Maybe a P pump or a 12v, still haven't made up my mind yet.

I did that to a coworker at Joffre. He stopped to see if I was going to breakfast after work with them, I gave them the thumbs up, and rolled passed at about 30 km/h in 4th gear. Sensitive throttle and about 500 rpm, you can do the math. He said thats the first time he wished he had manual windows, so he could get them up faster.

Nice buddy, which truck, the 12v or 24v.

Sometimes people really do get mad at you, thats at its best. Import sports car with convertable tops, are easy victoms. I had a ricer chase me one night after a good hazing.

Smoke is a good way to get rid of a tailgater on the highway I discovered.... I just came back from Van... lots of Mercedes and BMW convertibles to annoy....Scored an overflow valve from Harry while I was out that way.
