Helpful Place...ABDTR#5?
Good day, I was told by Festus that I could probably get the answer to my question as this group has some all knowing people who could help me out...
I have a '93 12v on an engine stand that does not have the data plate any longer and I obviously need the serial number for parts. Where would I find the serial number on the block? I see a few numbers around the block but not sure. One number tucked behind VE Pump, another on a small tab on the timing cover where the data plate should be.
I am resealing/gasketing/massaging the 12v for my '79 W200 power wagon project (First Real Project in 1st Gen forum). Thanks in advance.

The only serial number is on the timing case. Head to the 1st gen section and ask for a serial number for an engine that matches yours, you'll be good to go.
