Heaters in dodge trucks stink

If anyone out there figures way some dodge trucks heaters work perfect and some don't,will be one rich person.I'm going to stuff my radiator with mud, because before I cleaned out the cooling system,I had perfect heat. When I got the truck the antifreeze was brown and the rad was stuffed with Sask mud.....Since I cleaned it ,the heat in the cab was gone.I need better downfilled parka..Doesn't matter if the truck is diesel, gas, older or newer...Same complaint....poor heat..

Both lines are hot...Tried the switch of the heater lines did not help...Truck gets to about 80 then drops quick to 60...then back to 80 then back down. The typical gauge flucations.I still think I should plug that rad with cement...

Checked the blend door? Maybe your cable detached when you pulled your dash apart?

I have seen this before your heater core is air locked as well as the crap left in it. Take off both heater lines and run a garden hose water through it BOTH WAYS hook it up and it should work

Is the heater door moving when you go from cold to hot? Is the heater core heating up? If the coolant lines are warm, you should have heat. Mine heater works pretty decent, once the truck is warm. I can clear the windows even on the coldest days, as long as the engine is warm.

might just really be the air lock. If you've recently been in on the tstat change. the air lock stops flow through the core. you can have hot hoses and a cold core.
