kinda funny considering were We live
no ethanol blend just straight 93 Gas

I don't know of anyone selling unblended 93 octane in Alberta at all.

I run 94 octane Husky/Mohawk ethanol blend as most of the hi-po guys that I know run. No issues that I know of.


What's your wife's new toy?
Just by coincidence I flashed my wife's Acura after we bought it. The flash documentation stated 92 octane or better but it runs fine on 91.

 

there is no one I am aware of selling anything over 91
I had terrible problems with Mohawk / Husky 94 , but I was running a carb & had to rejet or the engine would misfire badly , it takes approx 40% more alcohol as fuel to produce the same HP so your milage will plummet with alcohol based fuels .
the other options are VP racing [expensive] or Aviation fuel at springbank or the small airport on 22x east of deerfoot about 10 mins before indus [illegal]& both may use alcohol to get the octane ratings , I know av gas is approx 98 octane & works great !!

How the heck do you know about the Indus airport (east of Deerfoot on 22x)? Do you live out this way? That is about 10 mins west from me in Dalemead.

 

Lived in Calgary for 21 years , Raced at race city using Av gas !!
Now I live in Panama , moved down in May this year , sick of the 9 month winters & summer on a wed & never knowing which wed to take off !! I have probably had more nice days here in 3 months than I had in ten years in Calgary . You must Know of Danco sandblasting & painting in Dalemead , a long time friend .
