Sucks---- they usually have to order in parts/goodies most of the time i pop in and want to spend the coin locally if the prices are fair---.I was just there myself today picking up some fuel treatment for my long haul up to North-western Alta/BC border Thursday night to visit my folks for 10days---(been over a year for a holiday---its due working 6days a week).Gonna give the dually a long run before winter hauling my/mrs quads and flat-deck to tear around my mom/dads place.Hope to drop that 5x5 whitetail that has been hanging around the trailcam the last few weeks---maybe a bull elk from my sister/friend land northwest of GP.DW----PSSSSS How do you like those injectors----Smokey??????

CCMR for the win...
We would make one young fellow very happy if we picked him as the dedicated diesel dyno......We would have to work out some bugs with Chris,if you guys decide to pick him..

i am good to pick ccmr also. they seemed like a nice group, easygoing, and now that he'll know these trucks better - there will be less runs that are inaccurate.

anybody ever heard of a company in south calgary called dynolite?

the other nice thing about chris is that he is mobile - so that means we can go to red deer everytime/anytime we need too . . .

i think $100 for only 2 pulls was a bit much though. i think the price could drop, and then if you dyno again on the same day - another reduction in cost . . .

Going off the top of my head the only dyno choices nearby that will do diesels are:

Dale Adams in Calgary... Dynapak hub dyno. Would not work for dyno GTG.
Lightspeed in Red Deer.. Mustang dyno.
DPS in Calgary............. Mustang dyno currently out of commission.
RCTS in Calgary........... Dynojet. $220 for 3 runs. Banks dealer & they don't like smoke.

That leaves CCMR (Chris) mobile Dynojet out of Spruce Grove.

BTW, CCMR stands for Chris's Classic Muscle Restorations http://www.classicmuscleperformance.com/Home_Page.html

Also it's interesting to note that Dynojet doesn't even make a dyno with 48 inch drums anymore. Only 24 inch drums for their entire lineup:

I really like Tates idea though of just renting the dyno for the day, and then we just split the cost between us. If he would go for that

A long time ago, Toma had a mustang dyno shop and thats how it went. VEX was the same too.. $1000 for the 8 hr day. Wonder where the VEX dyno ended up after CCV gave it up?

LOL, yes you should get a tune up on your dually!!
So much for RCTS... whatever...

Did you figure out the issue in the dually... Nothing serious I hope...

I'm starting to understand this line of thinking & would support this.
I've got a few parts on the way & I am going to need some dyno time to get things dialed in..

The dyno also needs some rest time during the day. With the small turnout we had at CCV it was smoking after the first 5 trucks. I don't know if the DJet has the same cooling issues or not.

Either way, the price of $75-$100 is reasonable if you do as Tate suggested with 3 runs for a good average. Brad at CCV was letting it rip until you were happy with it. Having a portable unit show up at is a definite plus.

Pulled the injectors yesterday, 1 and 2 were half decent, 3 was partially stuck open, 4-6 were completely stuck.

Is that some of the rough running you've had for a while?

It never really ran that rough. Took it for a spin on Sat and it was running pretty good, stopped at a set of lights and white smoke was just pouring out of it, then it started popping and missing. The 13mm has been hard to start on a cold start, as if it was getting air in the injection lines. I'm hoping thats what the problem was for that. Time will tell, once I get some new injectors in it.
