Diesel fuel prices

This is getting crazy....I filled up the truck at $1.09 a litre.Over the weekend it went to $1.12.Today while riding the bus from work it jumped to $1.15.I'm lucky I don't use my truck for work.I sure feel sorry for the guys that use their truck for work and the private 18 wheeler drivers that fill those huge tanks on their rigs..

EEEEK. Don't even want to know what it is in crappy FSJ BC. I drive 300 km's a day and put in about 45 litres a day. Just pay the huge freakin UFA bill every month. It is nicer that way. Only get waspy once a month instead of looking @ the price on the pumps on a daily basis.

A sad state of affairs.

I believe that Flying J is the cheapest around Edmonton - $1.039 the other day.

Flying J`s is always the cheapest by about 5-10 cents per litre......but here is a fair warning......DO NOT FILL UP BETWEEN 1 and 7 am.......That is when the tankers are filling the tanks....I got a bad batch of fuel, and am still trying too get my fass thawed out!!

I hear ya there, with the business that my husband and I have there is a lot of diesel getting used. I think one or both of us would have heart failure if we didn't have the cardlock cards, same goes for our drivers. Especially that poor driver we have that goes up your way at least once a month.

Its at 1.039 here now. Does UFA give any deals? I sure would like to save a few on fuel now and then.. When I am in cowtown I usually stop and the FJ for a tank full. Seems more trouble than its worth sometimes..

Just a note guys, fuel prices will be going up even more. There is a fuel shortage in Alberta right now - specifically diesel. The fire at Shell Scotford caused more damage than originally thought. I just got off a drilling rig that was having trouble getting fuel in...not quite sure if they'll run out before the truck arrives Sunday...they'll be dipping into the reserve 400 bbl as of tonight / tomorrow.

On my way back to Edmonton, both Shell cardlocks in Grande Prairie were out of fuel - had to fuel up at Husky in Clairmont. I'm not sure where I'll be fueling up tomorrow here in Edmonton.

If history prevails the last shortage last winter, fuel was easier to find in Edmonton than outlying areas due to be so close to the refineries. I have personally experienced sitting in 1.5-2 hour line ups in Grande Cache last winter.

Good luck!

Yep for sure. REDICULOSE!!!!!! it is 1.119 in stettler for diesel right now. kinda disapointing for a byproduct of gas. Worst thing is gas is only 96.9 right now.

just useless info. On the southern part of the northern front, diesel was $1.299 last weekend, haven't looked yet this weekend.

We haven't been under $1.109 since the hurricanes a couple years back. Haven't been under $1 since christ was a cowboy.

Gotta love fuel pricing

Thats about the best thing I've heard in a long time.

Westlock was around $1.159 for fuel. Me and Gord (the guy with the blue 3rd gen that did 255hp or so) were switching vehicles everyother day. I could go 6 days on a tank, he could only get 4 out of it. And mine was warm everytime I fired it up too. He's now looking at trading it in for a neon.
