Jekyl...or if anyone else could answer this?

If my bumper is powder coated already, would it be a bad idea to line x over top or does it have to be sand blasted before getting line x'd. I just dont want to pay to get it sand blasted if possible. If this is a strange idea go ahead and whack me lol..

I've been search around for some heavy duty tubuar bumpers. They look easy to build and are hopefully are cheaper. I saw a bumper build-up on TV once, not the fancy ones like you're guys. Too fancy I would be scared to use it to push things and pull stuff into/out of the ditch. I'm also looking for a bumper with a front receiver in it for pulling trailers.

the line-x guy in NE calgary said that the product sticks to powdercoat VERY well. he recommended it over bare metal (if already powdercoated) because of all the prep that would go into spraying bare metal - i could be wrong but i beleive he said there would be 2-3 hrs of prep work prior to spraying. so if you can have it powdercoated cheaper than 2-3 hrs worth of work at line-x . . . . get it powdercoated or leave it powdercoated if already done. don't qoute me on this - quote the guy at line-x in NE calgary.

Yeah it's already powder coated, it's the one in my pic's. Ill call the line x guy in my home town to see what he has to say. Thanks for the help guys. Actually im going to be in Okotoks for the week so maybe ill just call that guy and see. Had some troubles with my truck today, after a 300km trip with no problems, my truck started to sputter and i had no throttle response. Checked filter "air and fuel" both looked good. Chip told me it was a injecter circut malfunction. shut it down and started it up and then no issue's, so put it back to stock and drove from brooks okotoks with no issue's. any idea's, i know i should have started a new thread sorry for the killing the bumper theme.
