I would sure hope so. I can build a manifold with a provision for an external gate, and include the external gate for less then that.

Mike has a couple of the manifolds, none with the external gates on them, if he reads this maybe he will post them up. I will see if I can find any, sorry I am really bad at taking pictures to the point I don't even own a camera.

Not a problem I'm not a picture taker either. I'm just looking into some options, I want a special but if I can find something as good for less money and have to do a couple mods that's no prob.

None of these are focused on the manifold but you can kind of see it in the background of the twins. If I find some better shots I will post them up. (Mike took those as well)

If you don't mind me asking what material did you use for the manifold? I'm a welder and have a buddy thats a machinist so maybe we could make something too. By the way that twin setup looks good nice and tight like that.

Thanks. Now I just have to see which way I go in my turbo selection.

How much boost you going to run on this turbo? If your into the 60psi range, you should consider twins. A wastegate just limits how much energy you can put into the turbine. I will have to call next week on a turbo for you guys. Housing can be changed, just let the guy ordering the parts know what you have and what your doing when you change housing. There are some critical measurements on the compressor impeller that have to match housing. There a pretty tight tolerance fit between the impeller and compressor housing volute. If its not right, you will not make any decent/efficent boost. I would put something that would prevent stall, as thats what damages the compressor/turbine shaft and thrust bearing. Heat is caused by drive your compressor into choke region (hi flow/low efficency).

I can price out a turbo with a gate, but its going to be more money. I don't run any single over 50psi, so I really don't need a gate. My garrett gate has been blocked in for over a year.

If you need more pics on manifolds, I can take one with a external gate, so you can get an idea.

Dvst8r, we should finish those twins off one day. I'm sure that they would spool way better than stock and flow tons of air. So many projects, so little time.

Huch25, As for making those flanges, they would be tons of time to do it by hand. Dvst8r has a guy that could make them for us.

If your under 40 psi of boost you don't need a gate. With simple tuning your P7100 conversion should be around there. I push my garrett to 46psi a few times. When you really want to crank up the power, go with twins, just IMO. You can break any turbo out there.

I think that a HE351 is a 58mm and is has a variable guide vane housing. Should be cheaper than a S362 borgwarner turbo. If your going to spend the money go with a garrett GT3788R turbo, its a 64mm inducer and will spool crazy fast.

I'm looking for a turbo like the super b special or comparable. How do you control your boost with no waste gate besides watching a gauge and letting off?

Usually, I don't let off the throttle to often. How much boost you think that you'll be running? If your starting to get over 50psi, on a stock head gasket, no head studs, you're asking for issues. If you go often over 50psi, consider twins.

If you run more that 60psi often, oring head and head studs. For over 80-90psi, go with a fire ring and the 625 studs, and ya you need twins. How much power you going to run? Usually a single will make more heat than boost over the 50psi. Twins are more efficent at making that much boost.

I have studs and valve springs waiting to go in but the 50 mark seems to be max. I have a buddy with a new camaro so it has to stay with it. I don't know the final boost # i would like to see but right now I see about 40lbs. with my super b. This thing still has to be a dd so I'm not going to extreme yet, it's just that I think I'm running out of air after 80mph and I have the fuel for more.
