Try Eskimo Rentals. There in Edmonton but don't know about Calgary.

I have the tranny adapter that sits on a floor jack (princess auto special) its not the best but gets the job done, word of warning make sure you jack the truck high enough, before you start, so that the tranny and jack will slide out from under the truck! ask me how I know this!

I think it was 60-100$ for the tranny adapter, it works but like I said its a bit wobbly, get it lowered soonest once everything is unbolted,

Thank you for the tip.
I think with the lift and 33"s I will be fine with out jacking the truck up . My biggest problem is my drive way is brick so that's why I would like to rent the trans jack rather than using a adapter on the regular floor jack

Last one I rented was from Hertz rentals. Any rental shop should have one.

Tater has the community jack, don't know where it got to..LOL..

My jack is back at my sisters place. How soon do you need it? I am up in Edmonton working, sounds like I won't get a day off until early or mid september. If you can wait till then, I can get the jack for you.

I am not sure a tranny jack will be better unless you get one with large wheels. Split the t case off and it might be a whole lot easier to handle on a floor jack with larger wheels. The t case is the bear to deal with because of the way it drops down on one side. Find a friend to help and it makes it a whole lot easier.

P Kennedy : yep I totally plan on splitting the case from the tranny Its just bad spot for me to do it and cant get shop space out here , I figure the trans jack will give me more stability on my drive way and I use a block or 2 to make up the difference on the high side of the T-case
I will just take my time and be careful

Roxx, Is this for the 93 truck? The t-case can come off pretty easy. I just used a normal floor jack. How does the tranmission brace go in? On my truck, I had to beat out the brace with a rubber hammer. I think that your is bolt in. Just remember to support the transmission, as it heavy and might cause stress issues else where. There are a few rental shop in Calgary that had the tranny jacks. I just couldn't get the transmission under my truck as they didn't drop down low enough to slide under the truck. Things you do when you don't have a vehicle hoist. These dodge transmission are heavy mothers and are difficult to place back onto the jack when your under the truck, but I am office softy. Fun times buddy. You changing the clutch or doing transmission stuff? The transmission comes out easy. Just all the other stuff causes the head aches

I just pushed my tranny and t-case onto the transmission brace when I changed out my last converter. Of course you have to remove the driveshafts.

I never got the truck high enough to get the units out on the jack.. I took the Tranny/Tcase down as one unit, and disassembled the Tcase from the tranny under the truck. After that, wrestled the NV off the jack and slid it out. Assembly was reverse.

For the just the Tcase, you shouldn't need to remove the cross member IIRC..

That when the suspension lift kit and tires actual help out for once. I can wiggle mine out from under the truck, on the jack. I did that repair a year ago. Fun times.

The manual should be lighter and smaller package than the auto. The other 99% of the times the lift kit make vehicle repairs more difficult.

I've done 3 4x4 clutch jobs on these trucks, left the t-case and front driveshaft on all of them. But that was NV4500/NV241 combo, not one with a NP205. I think Luke dropped his t-case off when he did his clutch in his 1st gen. 200 lbs. is a bit different than the 70 lbs. case on the newer trucks.

yep the NP-205 is a tad heavy, but no worries I am going to start tomorrow in the drive way(hill billy garage) I am going to split the t case and the getrag.
I rented a monster trans Jack for the week so I would be rushed and that way I can be safe
