AirDog...?

S! Guys/Gals... Been lurking around for a bit, enjoy the site! Looking for an Alberta dealer for the AirDog fuel system, Edmonton seems to be lagging in diesel performance shops. Also interested in the Smarty jr., but can't find any up north!!

Thanks,
SpLaT

Welcome to the ABDTR#5!

Edmonton does have a few shops, just be careful on price. A few shops I personally deal with continually is PDR and Peak Diesel, both out on the West coast. Piers at PEAK has been doing diesel for a long time.. The last items I ordered from PEAK were here in 3 days.

PEAK

PDR

We use to sell Airdogs but they didn't stand up to our cold winters so we switched back to FASS. By far the best product on the market.

I just ordered a Smarty JR this morning from Peak. She said they have them in stock and it will be sent out this afternoon by mail just like I wanted!

Will be sending back my Juice with Attitude for repairs! As for the airdogs........ sounds like Dennis has some good advice.

Thanks, Lil Dog and Swamp Donkey... getting parts through USPS is cheaper no duty/broker fees! I'll give those people a call.

As for the FASS being better, I'll argue that! (JMHO and research) Seems a number of FASS systems are having issues with relays and noisey pumps. What makes FASS any different from AirDog in cold weahter conditons? They are both mounted on the frame both have their respective filters "dangling" in the cold? What were the failures of the AirDog in the "cold winters"?

I'm in the same boat. My old one never gave me any issues, and Kenny is running that one now. I haven't heard from him with any problems either. And my new one is just as good as the last, but a lot more pressure.

Any problems I have heard of with the FASS were taken care of pronto by the manufacturer. Most problems arise from poor installations.

PEAK is in Surrey BC, no boarder to deal with there. Also Piers has been in the performance market before BD was BD, it was called Valley Fuel Injection, PDR used to be Piers Diesel Research, anyway you get the idea.. If you have ever seen a blue truck doing donuts in the street years ago, it was Piers..

Look up 1000ftlb Cummins on Youtube.

Its the other way with me ---tried Fass for a bit(they may be better now i think i had #40 something) and it became way too noisy, changed it out to the Airdog and have not heard a peep out of it since it was installed 3.5 years ago.Rumors are that the dog has a lifetime warranty now.So far it has worked for me maybe not others---My 2 cents DW

I'll let you know about the AD150 when I get it installed on my truck. I believe the AD's had their issues when the owner was sick and wasn't watching over quality of his minions. Pureflow bought them out and uses the old owner / developer as a consultant I believe. Reports on quality have been increased. And, they are more compact than the FASS. I ordered mine out of the states for half price of what local shops wanted for the FASS.

How complete is the Airdog kit? does it include a draw straw and new line and everything? I really really need something soon and the airdog looks to be close to half the price of fass.
