well you should show up for the court date if you can and say to the judge "I'm sorry if you think this is a waste of time, but I was advised by the issuing officer to tell someone who cares . . . "

All they want is your license, no registration or insurance even asked for or looked at. The ticket just has your name and info and the infraction, no vehicle or anything else.

I told him this is BS, unless your vehicle has a certified speedometer, grace is a 10% allowance. He looked right at me and said, "Tell someone who cares"

I said no problem and took a picture of his cruiser with the broken passenger headlight. I'll have the ticket tossed as his cruiser should have been out of service. Been down this road before and it works.

Jeff
When did this 'zero tolerance' campaign kick off? I didn't see one when I drove up here 4 weeks ago, which was nice experience. Hopefully it'll be the same when I drive home.

You think they'd at least ask for insurance, they can make some more money off the odd uninsured motorist.

Agreed, it was a super nice day & great seeing everyone again.

Nice truck Chris, welcome to the 3rd Gen world!
That might be the best 3rd Gen. 2003 HO with a 6 speed manual & super low miles. I do have a stock lift pump that you are welcome to if you want.
Trust me, you will need to carry a spare!

Good luck with the turbo shopping Jamie, dont' forget those inner holes above the rear wheelweels on the 3rd Gens, such a lame design by Dodge..

Nice meeting Dave & Pete with their 1st Gens too.
Some very interesting stories by Pete about his tours in Afganistan. Thanks very much for your service for our country Pete.

As I mentioned I grew up hating Dodge's since my Dad did, but those 1st Gens are really nice trucks & have grown on me.
My favorites are the early 80's 1st Gen Crew cab/Cummins conversions with the 91-93 grill & interior with all the best drivetrain parts from those years.

Here's a few pics...Joe

My thanks to all.
I was a bit hesitant to show up for this but things turned really well in my opinion.
Very friendly and like minded people sharing a interest.
I'm looking forward to doing this again and as with everything cool the time went too fast!!!
I am really hoping "Tate" will show up one day.
I must have heard his name over a dozen times yesterday saying "too bad Tate isn't here to check out your truck/ he is the guy to talk to".
And thanks Joe. It means a lot to me when someone says those words!!!
See you all next time.

It was a good time as usual, nice and casual. Great to finally put some faces to some names of the people I hadn't met yet. Catching up with the old timers was awesome, we have had some good times over the years.

Sorry I didn't stick around for a bite to eat, I had to head off to Hinton. Got back home at 3:30 am this morning.

Center punched the North end of a South bound coyote outside Drayton Valley this morning. Nice mess to clean up but total vaporization, only thing that came out the back was mist Local car wash wasn't impressed this morning.

We should do this more often, it was nice to just have a little time to cool the brain off from the everyday work stuff and just relax, at least for me anyways.
