looking to up grade my factory radio so that I can install a back up camera. has any one did the up grade with a factory radio that has the uconnect and the back up camera already installed in it. is this possible???

I upgraded the factory single disk mp3/wma radio in my truck to a 2012 Mygig RHR radio and added a license plate backup camera to it. The radio install was straight forward, simple to do. I also added the lock pick adapter from coastaletech.com.

 

I upgraded mine with a nice Kenwood DVD Receiver. I added the backup camera. If you take out the tailgate latch, you will see a place made for the backup camera already. it is a great location. Instead of using the backup lights to signal the camera to come on, I put mine on a switch. I can flip it on at any time and see what's going on back there. Like when checking a load on a trailer, etc.
