A week and change ago, I left my truck at a local airport for a work trip. When I hit the lock button on the key FOB, the truck continued to lock itself repeatedly, with the lights flashing and horn sounding. As I moved away from the truck, this stopped happening. Upon returning home, I discovered that the same thing is happening with the other key FOB. Any ideas?

 

I would start with disconnecting both batteries for 15 minutes to drain all the power systems in the truck. Hopefully this will reset and clear the issue.

 

I tried that last week, letting it sit for almost an hour, and, unfortunately, that didn't work!

 

Check for codes I haven't seen that problem yet but possible flash update or WIN module. Need to tell us what year and model or last 8 numbers of vin. Or take it to a dealer.

 

My truck is a 2010, 2500. I have the fuel filter heater recall deal to get done yet, and I will likely mention the key fob issue when there. It doesn't happen with batteries out of the FOBs, so just a minor annoyance to deal with.
