Problems, old and new

I am thinking of the '10 but just wondering if some of the problems with the earlier trucks have been fixed. The weak AC, Wind noise, oil leaks, dash cracks, lift pumps, and many more have been fixed. I might as well just keep my 03 if there has been no improvement. I can really have some fun with it for a few grand. Talked to local DC parts and he said the DPF and turbo's are a hot item on the 09's. Not good. Here in Cal playing with the smog device is a bad idea(EGR) and the Cal DMV reg on a new truck, OMG.
Funny, when the 03's came out they were the truck of trucks, then the problems started. What are they saying about the 10's? Just thinking out loud and trying to decide what to do.

I am in the same boat. I currently have an '05 6.0L Ford, I am wanting to get away from the V8 and all the crap that goes with it. I am thinking the new Dodge may be the ticket, it sounds like they have finally made a true CC long bed which is what I need. I am wanting something reliable so I hope they have the issues fixed also. I am watching the lots and net for pricing on the 2010. Am I right the Cummins does not need urea for 2011?

According to the reports the C&C will use urea. The pick-ups do not. The pick-up drive train already meets the 2010 emission specs and is un changed.

Went and looked at the trucks tonight, 09 2500 diesel and 1500 inside. Opened the hood of the diesel and OMG, what is all that under the hood. There are many things I like about the new ones but they are just one click too complex in my book. Everything that makes the new ones nice also makes them more complicated. There are many things I can do to my 03 and at just 8k miles a year it will last till I don't need a diesel. The added $$$ for new is insane, reg, ins, payments. I can have fun with the 03 with money to spare. just my rant
