OK done the dirty deed, new 2023 2500 bighorn
Kinda left hanging on my 2018 2500 due to abs/hcu problems and no parts avail till 2/24 or maybe even later.
Waited 3 weeks and nothing avail. This is the 3rd time with under 38000 on truck for the same repair. Hated to do the deal but pull a big 5th wheel so needed a dependable truck.
Bought a 2023 Big Horn Granite Crystal metallic grey with painted bumpers and black trim. It's missing some of the featured that my 18 with 37000 miles had but it was the only truck I could find and afford that had most of the features I wanted, like 5th wheel prep, spray in bed liner, crew cab, 4x4, limited slip differential and those rotten Firestone Transforce tires.(for about $12000 more than my 2018 was). It took a lot of time to transfer truck to truck but got it mostly done this afternoon. It's a bear being 80 years old. Florida heat and old age don't go too well together and that fifth wheel hitch assembly gets heavier each year.
Not what I wanted, another many years of payments but on the plus side also new 3/36 warranty bumper to bumper and 5 year power train warranty then on top of that they threw (I'm sure not free but hidden in all the double talk the dealers do) in a 7 year bumper to bumper (non Chrysler brand) warranty. The killer now is interest rates are quite high even with good credit so thanks to the economy paying quite a bit more than I like. Hopefully with the equity and what I will have paid down on it I can refinance it next year at a lower rate.

I just bought at 2019 4x4 long bed dually Laramie myself. I am keeping my 04.5. She is doing good with 229k miles on her. I just needed a backup truck just in case. She's getting old. Just about 20 yrs old.
I know about the CP4 fiasco. This one has had the recall done for quite some time and no issues. Got my fingers crossed.
