Mid Trip report (if you care :D )
Well, Bone Stock 10' Ram 2500 4X4 crew SB. Towing a little weight (10,000lbs) Averaging 10.2 MPG. Engine Brake is outstanding. Pulled three passes at 8,000+ ft at 60 mph and no real issues- except I needed to shut the cruise off as it was going to accelerate to 70, not a good idea on a passes on the 140 heading out of Oregon and Salt Lake. Can't wait to get mod's done and increase MPG and acceleration! A bit slow on roll on.
Tomorrow will complete a 3100 mile trip with family of 5 and no real complaints, except "are we there yet"
A few bugs to work on,hissing on Hydro-boost, dealer checked and will order replacement. warranty
Blend door whistling- warranty
Need slightly taller/stiffer tires and better shocks. It is a bit of a handful in the wind towing and over larger bumps and dips.

285-70-17s will give you another inch of tire height, just make sure they're E-rated. My 285/75-27 Nitto Terra Grapplers are another inch beyond that and work well on stock 8" wheels with no interference.
265-70-17 = 31.6"
285/70-17 = 32.7"
285/75-17 = 33.8"
(from Nitto's spec page)
