The way I see the two mods is the one from Genos filters most of the air when in all modes except MAX AC . In this mode it filters Zero percent of the air. The factory style filters 100% of the air all the time and a charcoal filter is available. The filters are readily available from any auto parts store or dealer and easy to change.

I'm not up on the 4th Gen trucks, but is this a problem for the 11's and 12's also?

isn`t the 10 the same as 06? If it is you can remove the heater fan & wash it out with a garden hose. There is a drain so wash a few seconds & then let it drain. do this several times.

Called Dodge customer service on the phone for a good half hour. I told them the problem and I told them I found a aftermarket solution and I didn't think I was unreasonable demanding they foot the bill for cleaning the heater. Dealer got a call and were told to do the job

Put my cabfresh filter kit on, took like 5 minutes, nice tight fit. I believe the cost was $59 bucks. I think the cost was reasonable, really it looks like it could be stock. Replacement filters are a lot cheaper, and actually you could make replacement filters very easily.

For $60 how long does that one from Geno's last? Seems like a lot of money to have to keep putting back on the truck.
