Finally did it

Well, I jumped off the cliff and traded my 2007 in my sig in on a new 2010, 2500 Mega, 4x4.

I have one question. When i get out of the truck, and go inside, (don't lock trucks around here) the LEDs that are under the mirror near the door stay on. I thought they would turn off with interior lights but they stay on until i lock the truck. Is there a way to adjust the time on these lights?

thanks

Congrats! Remember, Dodge uses the everything-off-to-save-the-battery technology - so they WILL go off after X minutes no matter what you do. I know on mine, just when I think "dang, the thing isn't going to shut off", it shuts off.

I'd probably do the same thing, but it looks like I'll have to pay for my hip surgery since TRICARE does not agree with my othopedidic surgeon's assessment that I need hip surgery to prevent having to do a total hip replacement in 5 years. As a retired disabled vetern of 28 years with 2 Bronze Stars having served in 5 combat zones and retired honorably last year I want to thank my government for keeping their promises.

No -- they seem to have a mind of their own. Because they're LED's I guess Dodge figures they're low voltage and it doesn't matter if they stay on a good long time.

My choices, hip surgery over buying a new truck. Sorry if it was not that obvious in my previous post.

I guess I didn't (still don't) get your point.

Insurance doesn't cover hip surgery so I'm paying for it out of pocket. $10,000 that would've gone for a new truck...

You spent 28 years in the military and just retired last year? Do you not have veteran ombudsmen in the US? I know of lots of my old military buddies here in Canada who have gone back to veterans affairs years after they had retired and had their medical problems covered and depending on the problem got a pension out of it. My hearing deteriorated many years after I left the military (weapons)after 13 years and I now get a pension and free hearing aids.
